About Blackstone: Since opening its door in 1910, this soaring building (tallest in Chicago at the time) has hosted 12 consecutive US Presidents, movie stars and notorious gangsters like Al Capone and “Lucky” Luciano. A 2017 renovation celebrates this eclectic history. Situated 1.3 miles from the Adler Planetarium.
Flights
You have two options to fly into Chicago. We recommend flying into Midway as it is a smaller airport and traffic is usually lighter into the city in comparison to O’Hare.

To/From Airport
You have multiple options for transportation from the airport to the city (and vice-versa).
- Uber or Lyft – Request pickup once you’ve collected your bags and the app will help you select the location at the designated airport you would like to be picked up from. Promo code?
- Cabs – Readily available outside baggage claim and in the city. There is no flat rate to/from the airport. We recommend Uber/Lyft over cabs as it is cheaper.
- Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) – Purchase ‘L’ train fare, then grab the train from Midway and take the Orange Line, or from O’Hare take the Blue Line.
- Rental Car – We recommend you use the CTA or Uber/Lyft during your stay in Chicago. Parking can get expensive in Chicago. Parking can get expensive in Chicago, and there are great options for getting around Chicago without your own car!

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?
We recommend you to arrive 15 minutes before the official ceremony start time so you can get settled before the magic happens.
Is this event open to children?
While we love your children, this will be an adults-only affair. Parent’s night out, woo hoo!
What is the dress code?
Formal, black tie optional - we are going for a sophisticated vibe, but not a stuffy one.
Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony and reception will take place outdoors weather permitting. However, the cocktail hour will be indoors.
Is there parking available at the wedding venue?
For the day of our wedding, you can park at Ace Hotel for a special event parking rate of $27 per car. This applies only to valet service during our wedding day and does not apply to overnight valet parking. There is overnight parking available at Ace Hotel for $59/night.
However, there are multiple parking garages within walking distance that are cheaper and have overnight parking.
We also recommend using Uber/Lyft so you don't have to worry about driving and parking!
I have dietary restrictions/allergies. What's the best way to let you know?

Will there be an open bar?

Can take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?
We ask you to put your phones/cameras away for the ceremony. Don't worry, we will have our photographer and videographer capture these special moments so all you need to do is relax and chill! We'd love for you to be truly immersed at the moment during our ceremony, which is one of the reasons why we ask you to not use your camera. But you can certainly take pictures during the reception!
Can I bring gift to the wedding?
In order to keep things simple, please do not bring any gifts to the wedding. See our Registry page for more details. However, your presence at our wedding is a gift in itself.
When will the reception end? Will there be an after party?
We officially have the venue space and djs until 2 am and we will continue onward until the last person is standing. You know we like to partaaay!
